You’re Not AloneWhen Even The Ordinary Feels Heavy
Depression can make everything feel harder— getting out of bed, connecting with others, finding joy in things you used to love. You might feel numb, exhausted, or like you’re just going through the motions of your life. It can be isolating, even when you’re surrounded by people who care about you.
At Wisdom Field, depression therapy is a place to slow down, be heard, and explore what’s beneath the weight. Together, we’ll work to understand your experience and find a path toward renewed connection, meaning, and possibility.
Depression Can Show Up In Many Ways
The Weight of Everyday Life
- Persistent sadness or low mood
- Loss of interest in things you used to enjoy
- Low energy and motivation
- Feeling overwhelmed by everyday tasks
Feeling Far From Yourself
- Numbness or disconnection
- Difficulty concentrating
- Changes in sleep or appetite
- Increased self-criticism or feelings of worthlessness
When Hope Feels Out of Reach
- Sense of emptiness or lack of meaning
- Withdrawing from relationships
- Feeling stuck, no matter how hard you try
- Wondering if things can ever feel different
You are more than what depression has made you feel.
Beneath the heaviness, there is a part of you that still knows, still feels, and still longs for a life that feels meaningful. Therapy can help you reconnect with that part.
A Holistic Personalized ApproachA Different Approach to Depression Treatment
At Wisdom Field, we offer personalized psychotherapy for depression that honors the whole you — your experience, your relationships, your nervous system, and your inner world. Our approach is grounded in nearly twenty years and an understanding that healing often happens on multiple levels.
For some, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) can be a powerful option when traditional approaches haven’t provided enough relief. KAP may help create new perspective and support deeper therapeutic exploration.
Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy, A Different Way Forward
For individuals with depression, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) combines a carefully supported medicine experience with psychotherapy and integration. It may help create space from persistent patterns and open new possibilities for insight, connection, and change.

Ketamine can create a temporary quieting of the reactive, ruminating mind, which often loosens the grip of depressive thought patterns. Researchers also believe it may support the brain’s ability to form new connections, which can make new perspectives feel more reachable. In ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, the therapy before and after each session helps turn that opening into insight and lasting change.
-
Many clients come to ketamine treatment for depression after other approaches have helped only partly or not at all. It is not the right fit for everyone, so we begin with a consultation to talk through your history, your goals, and whether KAP is an appropriate option for you.
-
Many clinics focus on the medicine alone. At Wisdom Field, therapy sits at the center, with preparation before the session, a guided experience during it, and integration afterward so the insights carry into everyday life.
-
The process follows four steps: consultation, preparation, the ketamine experience, and integration. During preparation we explore your intentions and answer your questions. The experience takes place in a safe, guided setting, and integration sessions help you make meaning of what emerged and bring those insights into everyday life.
-
Every client goes through a careful screening of medical and psychiatric history before treatment begins. Certain conditions, such as a history of psychosis or uncontrolled high blood pressure, can make ketamine inappropriate, and we talk through any concerns openly during your consultation.
-
Please do not stop or change any medication on your own. How your medication fits with ketamine treatment is something we review during your consultation, and we coordinate with your prescriber so your care stays connected.
-
In-person sessions take place in Decatur, in the greater Atlanta area. Clients throughout Georgia can work with us through a combination of in-person visits and telehealth for preparation and integration.
-
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not an emergency service. If you are thinking about harming yourself or you are in immediate danger, call or text 988 or go to your nearest emergency room. Once you are safe and supported, we would welcome a conversation about whether KAP could be part of your care.
